The aim of the training is to expand knowledge regarding the issues faced by abused children and their families, to enhance competencies in intervening on behalf of abused children, and to improve skills in intervening on behalf of children who are victims of sexual abuse.

The aim of the training is to expand knowledge regarding the issues faced by abused children and their families, to enhance competencies in intervening on behalf of abused children, and to improve skills in intervening on behalf of children who are victims of sexual abuse.

Training description

The training was developed and will be led by Beata Pawlak-Jordan, M.A. – a clinical psychologist, clinical sexologist, PTS supervisor, Blue Line supervisor, and psychotherapist. Ms. Beata Pawlak-Jordan has extensive experience in psychotherapy and diagnosis and worked for many years at the Nobody’s Children Foundation (now the “We Give Strength to Children” Foundation).

She currently co-runs her own foundation “Fundacja Dobrych Praktyk”A long-time court expert participating in the questioning of children and providing expert opinions for the needs of prosecutors, criminal courts, and family courts, as well as a specialist in domestic violence prevention for PARPA and the Blue Line. For years, she has been involved in the diagnosis, intervention, and therapy of sexually abused children.

Main objectives

  • expanding knowledge regarding the issues faced by abused children and their families,
  • enhancing competencies in interventions for abused children
  • improving intervention skills for children who are victims of sexual abuse.

Classes with training participants are conducted using the group psychological skills workshop method. During these sessions, participants collaboratively develop materials and analyze their previous experiences.

  1. Introduction – introduction of participants, the facilitator, and working methods
  2. Identifying participants’ expectations and their professional experiences regarding child victims of sexual abuse
  3. Legal aspects of intervention in cases of child sexual abuse
  4. Psychological aspects of intervention in cases of child sexual abuse
  5. Principles and stages of interdisciplinary intervention in cases involving a sexually abused child
  6. Conversation with the parent of a sexually abused child
  7. Conversation with a sexually abused child
  8. Initiating intervention – exercises

PTS points

This training course allows participants to earn the credits required for the PTS Clinical Sexologist Certificate.
Upon completion of the training, participants will receive 9 PTS credits and a certificate.
