Marcin Zarzycki

Education and professional experience

He is a psychiatry specialist and the head of a Mental Health Clinic.

He completed his specialist training at Bielański Hospital, a centre with extensive outpatient psychiatric care facilities. During his residency, he completed clinical rotations, including in a Community Mental Health Treatment Team and a Day Hospital Unit.

He regularly participates in national and international symposia, ensuring that his medical knowledge remains up to date. His scientific experience is reflected in his publication record, with a total of over 100 citations.

Alongside appropriately selected pharmacotherapy, he believes that effective treatment requires a holistic approach to the patient, which guides his professional and personal development. He has completed, among others, courses in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and relaxation training in prevention and therapy.

Scope of activity

He places great importance on the experience gained during his education at the Medical University of Warsaw, where he was an active member of numerous scientific societies. His involvement resulted in publications in Polish and international scientific journals and was additionally recognised with a Ministry of Health Scholarship for outstanding achievements.

He has always sought to approach issues related to the central nervous system from a holistic perspective. Therefore, his scientific interests have extended beyond psychiatry to include neurology and sexology.

He believes that effective treatment, in addition to appropriately selected psychopharmacotherapy, requires a humanistic approach to the patient. To further develop this aspect of his professional competencies, he combines his work with his greatest passion — cinema. He runs a social media profile where he discusses mental health disorders using examples from films and series.

He believes that this is his contribution to public education and reducing the stigma experienced by people with mental health disorders.
